About

Back in the 1970's, a wonderful language called Scheme was invented. It was born from Lisp and was the result of deep thought and consideration over what programming should be. Unfortunately, for various reasons, it never caught on, and remains a language feared by some, loved by others, and hated or ignored by most.

My name is James Long, and I love Scheme. I won't try to win you over yet, but just check out some of my projects or blog posts to see what cool stuff you can do with Scheme.

I use Scheme everyday, and my goal is to make Scheme fun and easy to use for others. I am focusing on games and developing libraries in Scheme for handling complex tasks for games and 3d graphics, in addition to various development tools such as SLIME. This website was built in a variant of Lisp called Clojure.
